fallenstar-rosecharlotteknight:

Edmund seemed surprised by Rose’s comment about King Peter and Alyssa, how could he be? She didn’t know how much he knew and couldn’t be sure of whether Peter and Alyssa wanted everyone to know everything. She did only because she was friends with them both. “I’ve just heard that they have had to lay low recently for unknown reasons. Most likely I would think for their safety.” Rose was not lying, nor was she telling the entire story. It wasn’t her place. “Yes the stars see much more from above than we do, it gives such an advantage. But the stars are not generally likely to come down here and assist those in trouble unless they feel so strongly about it. They come around to warn people, but not usually to partake in battle.” She would know. Rose had seen quite a bit and had never partaken herself in violence. But she had come down from the sky to deliver warnings to those in need. “Yes I do know Lilliandil and Rafael, they are quite lovely and were ever-so-welcoming when I arrived. Everyone here seems to know them, which isn’t surprising being how friendly they are.” She smiled and looked closely into Edmund’s face. There was something so mysterious about him that she couldn’t place….

Edmund didn’t want to talk about his older brother’s relationship, so he didn’t reply her. He just pretended she said nothing and looked away.

The boy licked his lips and smiled. “But you came for the war, right?I mean, you came to fight, right? You will help Narnia, won’t you?” He asked the many questions, staring her with his dark eyes.

The talk about Lilliandil and Rafael made the memories from their wedding come to his mind. How, with all the respect, Lilliandil was so beautiful that day. The food was delicious but, like always, Edmund didn’t really enjoy the party. The Just King is not a party boy kind. “I think everyone know them mostly because of their wedding party.” Edmund said with a laugh. “Actually I met Lilliandil first, at Ramandu’s island, then she came here to Cair and became our guest. Some days later I found a man lost in the woods searching for her. This man was Rafael and would be her husband. Did you know that they have kids already? If I’m not wrong they have two or three.”

I prefer my character over all the others. I really think I have the best character. Of course, he’s a lot like me. He is the tyrant of the family, which I am, and, yep, he succumbs to temptation very easily. Edmund is the black sheep of the family, always teasing Lucy. But, in the end, Narnia makes him good. He goes through the most radical change, starts to appreciate his family. The adventure really changes him into a better person.

— Baking Cakes|| Edmund and Imogen

imogen-in-narnia:

She smiled at him. “It smells so good. It’s going to taste amazing. Most of all to you because you made it.” She shook her head laughingly. “These things always work out that way. It’s just going to taste better to you than everyone else because you made it.” Eventually though, if he kept making it he’d be able to taste all the differences and pick out whatever was wrong. Imogen did this sometimes.

The cake had been cooled for the required 10 minutes so she took the knife from earlier and went around the inside of the pan. Then she put the plate over the top of the cake and flipped it. She set it down on the counter like this and gave it a minute to fall out and settle. Imogen gently lifted the pan. The cake had come out of the pan perfectly. “Ready?”

He smiled at Imogen. He knew she was not telling the truth, but just trying to cheer him up. “I would not do it without you.” That was the truth. Edmund himself alone could not do a cake. “I thought that I would think it was not tasting good because I made it, just like everything else we do, like a drawing for exemple, we like it at first, but then we hate because we know we can do better and we know where we went wrong. But for everybody else it’s perfect.”

Edmund watched Imogen cutting the cake, the smell making his mouth water. He chuckled when the cake came perfectly on the plate. “Ready for what? I’m going to do this?”
